Hidden Treasure!

Property was tucked away just out of town, the drive to the property is an experience in itself, with the view looking like something out of a magazine. Once we arrived at the property it did not disappoint; Mel & Ian were more than welcoming and gave us the local tips on things to do and places to go. We had River views from our cottage, immaculately maintained property with gorgeous animals and a great little bush walk track right by the river. Would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a unique experience perfect for a relaxing getaway from all the hustle & bustle.

Thank you so much for making us feel so welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your idyllic property. It was so peaceful waking up to the sounds of the birds chirping in the trees. We look forward to our return visit and to telling others about this wonderful place.

Beautiful Relaxing Time

We had a beautifully relaxing time here at Barrington Riverside Cottages. Thank you, Mel, Ian, Tilly & the animals! We loved the tranquil riverside reading spots, the birds, floating downstream & meeting the chickens. Tilly, the eggs from your palace are delicious! Two days at your wonderful property and we are refreshed. We can tell you all love it here too & we wish you every happiness here! We’d love to visit again.

Swimming Hole Exceeded Expectations!

We really enjoyed our short stay. The cottage was clean & well presented. The swimming hole exceeded expectations & we enjoyed exploring the river. Ben loved feeding the goats, alpacas’ chickens & bulls. We think the small red-haired bird by the river is a Scarlett Honeyeater! Unfortunately, we missed seeing the platypus; maybe next time!

Thank you so much for your hospitality and for having us at your magnificent property. We all enjoyed swimming in the river and admiring the wildlife on this side of the Barrington’s. The grandkids loved feeding the animals and collecting Tilly’s chook eggs. Even though we only live on the western side of the Barrington’s, the change in scenery has given us a much-needed break. Your property certainly lives up to its motto of; “Lifestyle, Memories & Serenity”. We have made some lovely memories with our grandkids whilst staying here. We will be back for sure! The accommodation is second to none!

Extremely Relaxing Holiday!

Our family had an extremely relaxing holiday at the Grace Cottage. The river was immaculate and Ian’s farm walk was extremely enjoyable for the kids and adults! Thank you for being exceptional hosts and for loading the entire cottage with everything that we needed. The animals were very calm and let us feed them with minimal fuss. The eggs were scrumptious (thanks Tilly) and the entire holiday was an experience that we will never forget. Thanks again and we are happy to say that we will be back 😊

Peaceful Location!

Our three night stay at Barrington Riverside Cottages was simply wonderful. Our cottage was clean, modern and well equipped. It had amazing rural and mountain views from the covered timber deck and a beautiful river that flows right near the cottages that you can swim in. Our hosts were warm and hospitable and showed us around their property. We were able to feed and interact with their alpacas, cows, sheep, goats and chickens. There are many species of birds in and around the property also. It is only a short drive to the Barrington Tops State Conservation Area which is very beautiful. Overall, it was a very memorable stay with great hosts in a stunning and tranquil location and clean, comfortable accommodation. We highly recommend Barrington Riverside Cottages.

We explored Gloucester, went to the Barrington Tops and will definitely be back with so much more to see!

The cottage is so comfortable, has everything you need and the view from the deck is just gorgeous. Swimming in the river, nature watching or just relaxing – all perfection! Oh, and feeding the alpacas, goats & chickens was so much fun!

Gorgeous Location!

The location was gorgeous – picturesque property by the river, with a large deck where we could sit and listen to the birds while watching the sun set. Our hosts were excellent, super friendly, and the cabins were exceptionally clean and spacious. We were able to totally relax after bushwalking, hang out by the Barrington river and we even got to feed alpacas.

Beautiful Property!

Loved that the cabin was private, big and super clean, could not fault it. Mel and Ian were very lovely and welcoming. Kids loved feeding the animals and we all loved relaxing by the water. Beautiful property, we enjoyed our stay 11/10.

Exceptionally Clean and Spacious!

Our stay at Barrington Riverside Cottages was excellent. Set on beautiful land by the Barrington River, we sat for hours on the deck listening to the birds and watching the sunset. The cabins are spacious and exceptionally clean and there is a communal BBQ are and fire pit. The river is so close and it was lovely to stroll along next to it. We were able to feed the chickens and alpacas and pat the goats. It’s a great location within minutes to the town of Gloucester. Our hosts were super friendly and fresh eggs are available to purchase too.
