What to do at the Cottages
For those who love to cool off with a swim, the river is a great place to be! Branching off of the main river, we have a swimming hole which ensures that everyone stays safe as they enjoy the water.
On our farm you can find many furry and feathered friends. Including chickens! As guests at Barrington Riverside Cottages you’ll be able to pick eggs from our ‘egg factory’, freshly laid by our hens!
A fan favourite is always roasting marshmallows, and luckily Barrington Riverside Cottages provides guests with a large communal bonfire pit! And for those staying in ‘Melani’ Lodge or ‘Tori’ you’ll have your very own fire pit. IT’s the perfect way to spend a night on the farm!
Our other featured farm animals include alpacas and goats! They are truly adorable and love getting pets, food and attention. So when you can, pay them a visit, they won’t bite, but they will follow you for food! (Especially the goats.)
Take a trip down to the river, located only a few meters away from the cottages, and enjoy a chance to paddle board or kayak on the water.
You will need to bring your own kayaks and paddleboards, however, it’s guaranteed that everyone will have a blast!
Another way to enjoy our farm would be to take a long walk around the property, and take in the breathtaking, calming views of rolling green hills and mountains. You could take the family on a short bushwalk starting down at the river and enjoy the sounds of nature surrounding you!
On a rainy day those staying in ‘Tori’ cottage can hold competitions of table tennis or snooker with our two in one table. And for those that enjoy a game of mahjong we have a table set for that as well!
Guests in ‘Tori’ can also sing their hearts out with our karaoke machine, or verse friends on our gaming machine which brings back all of the iconic video games, arcade style!
